Aside from academics , Ian loves to play soccer , and holds several team leadership positions . He is captain of both the STJ varsity soccer team and the Streaks Club team , and he is a member of the Alabama Olympic Development Program Soccer Team . As far as his active involvement in extracurriculars goes , Ian explains , “ I play sports , participate in school competitions , and lead organizations . Even though I ’ m involved in so many things , I ’ m an active part of all of them . I don ’ t want people to think I do all these things simply for my resumé , and I hope I have proven that .”

“ I want to go to medical school and become a neurosurgeon . As a neurosurgeon , I will be able to make valuable impacts in the medical world , and I will be able to see my impact through the patients I have .”

He is liked by so many and thus has a very broad group of friends with varying interests . He has always been very responsible and self-sufficient- he knows what needs to be done and when .”

“ Always remember that you are your child ’ s role model , so how you treat others , your values , and your work ethic will become the basis of theirs .
