Evangel Christian Academy Oratorical Winners
Evangel Christian Academy competed in the AISA District V Oratorical Contest , hosted by Hooper Academy on October 18 , 2016 . ECA was represented by Juniors JoEllen Whitfield and Vincent Greathouse . JoEllen received 1st runner-up honors and Vincent was recognized as District Winner . Vincent then represented the district at the State competition on October 25 . Congratulations to these outstanding students .
Edgewood Fifth Graders Serve at Local Food Pantry
Edgewood Academy ’ s fifth graders volunteered at the Elmore County Food Pantry on Friday , December 9 . The students brought donations of nonperishable food and assisted other volunteers in preparing for the next day ’ s distribution . They sorted , shelved and bagged food items and also prepared shopping bags . The students chose to help the food pantry in lieu of exchanging gifts with each other .
