“My motto is ‘Find your ‘uncomfort zone.’ This quote is my motto
because sometimes we need to be fearless in pursuit of what sets
our souls on fire even if the path looks scary.”
how it began
Kaitlynn is currently a varsity cheerleader at Sulligent High
School and has been named a Universal Cheerleaders Association
All-American Cheerleader, a very prestigious title. In addition to
being a star athlete Kaitlynn is also very involved in her academics, participating in several Honor Societies and other various
clubs such as Spanish Club and the English Academic Team. Kaitlynn is also devoted to giving back as a member of the Sent Life
Ministries Mission Team and a Vacation Bible School Teacher at
her church.
“I want to be remembered as someone who was a leader. I want
to be remembered as not only a leader, but as someone who
helped others”, Kaitlynn expressed.
what’s next
Since childhood, Kaitlynn has wanted to work with marine life,
and she hopes to become a marine veterinarian in the future.
PG (parental guidance) rating
Kaitlynn has been extremely inspired by both of her parents in
different ways. “My mother has shown me and taught me how to
be independent,” she said, and “my father has taught me how to
work hard.” Both of Kaitlynn’s parents have always encouraged
her to chase her dreams and persevere, even if she fails.

parents’ perspective
Kaitlynn’s parents, Lee and Denise, admire Kaitlynn’s ambition,
faith in God, and compassion in helping others. “We have always
tried to help Kaitlynn reach her potential by supporting her dreams,
encouraging her to try new things and affording her opportunities
outside of the school setting,” explained Denise when asked what
role she and Lee have played in helping Kaitlynn do her best.
parent-to-parent
Denise’s best advice for other parents? “Stay involved
with your kids, even in senior high school. Start visiting
colleges early so that your child finds the one that feels
like ‘home’ to them. Dream big.”
