Isaiah 40:31 : “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their
strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and
not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
how it began
As Varsity Cheer Captain at BrewTech, UCA All-American
Cheerleader, and Cheer Pro Athletics All-Star, Taylor has
proven her stellar athleticism and deep dedication to her sport.
Taylor also participated in the 2015 Distinguished Young
Women’s Competition and she currently serves as a model for
Elizabeth Grace fashions.
She is a member of the BrewTech Medical Academy, the
Health Occupational Students of America (HOSA) Club, and
is involved in the Baptist Exploring Program, a strategic step
in pursuing her future career. Taylor said that Jesus Christ has
inspired her, revealing that “he has been with (her) so much
throughout the last couple of years” and “he has taught (her)
that giving up is never an option.”
what’s next
Taylor hopes to become a Registered Nurse or an athletic
trainer. “I would also like to share my passion for cheer with
others by becoming a Varsity cheerleading coach,” she added.

PG (parental guidance) rating
Taylor is extremely proud of the strong relationship she has
with her parents. No doubt it has helped her accomplish many
things.

parents’ perspective
Deidre and James Smith praise their daughter’s honesty, hard work,
and determination. They admire her ability to balance her academics, extracurriculars, and volunteering. Taylor’s self-motivating
spirit really stands out to them, and they expressed this by saying,
“We rarely have to push her to do anything, she is always looking
for ways to better herself.”
parent-to-parent
The Smiths try their hardest to lead by example and
support their children in everything they do. They
provide her with the tools she needs to grow, and they
urge other parents to do the same. Deidre said, “My advice to other
parents is to be a positive role model, support your kids, have a
good relationship with them and teach your kids to have strong
Christian values.”
