ukulele
his story: Aidan’s love for playing instruments started about
five years ago, after he met a guy named Tripp who helped him
learn to play drums. Aidan picked up the guitar a couple of years
after that, and playing the ukulele just kind of came naturally to
him. No matter what instrument he is using to make it, music
keeps him balanced, and he feels particularly good when he is
learning more about it. “Duke School of Music in Pelham [where
Aidan takes lessons] has been my place for inner peace,” he said.
Music helps him express himself when faced with anxiety. “When
I’m playing, I just let it all go.”
And he is playing quite a bit; he is part of a band that plays
events around town. Despite Aidan’s heavy involvement in music,
he’s stayed focused on keeping his grades up. “School has come
