Here’s a checklist of some of the things students should feel confident in handling before moving off to college. Shop for and prepare a few simple, healthy and budget-friendly meals (a useful skill even if you have a dining plan). Manage unstructured time wisely to stay on top of classwork and projects, job, activities and social life Avoid food poisoning by storing food properly (leftover pizza should be reheated!)
