Instead of choosing, he put his faith in God to save them both. Thankfully, Mikala was born right at midnight. “One of the doctors gave me a Bible afterwards because medically…we both should’ve died,” her mom Tammie said. Mikala’s name is Hawaiian for “a gift from God,” and she plans to continue to live up to her name. “I want to be remembered as a person who made an impact on every person I came in contact with,” she said.
