One of Tabby’s mottos comes from Dory, a character in “Finding
Nemo” who often said, “Just keep swimming!” Tabby’s parents
taught her that, “if it doesn’t work out the first time, keep trying
and trying until you get results.”
around the world
Tabby was born in Korea and has since lived in many other
countries due to her parents’ work overseas, including Croatia,
Thailand and Japan. “It has been a wonderful experience to learn
and live in different countries, but it was also challenging to make
new friends.”
in the band
In the 7th grade, Tabby started playing the clarinet, but quickly
found her real muse was the saxophone. She continues playing
the sax and is an active member of Grissom High’s marching
band. Tabby has received the Superior rating at Solo Ensemble
for saxophone and won 2nd place in Contest Band. Tabby also
spends a lot of time volunteering at the library and is involved in
REACH, a club that welcomes new students.
what’s next:
Tabby wants to help people, so she’ll be pursuing work in the
medical field as a child psychiatrist.
