Business Growth Solutions, Associate
education:
Auburn University, Bachelor of Science,
Business Administration; Finance
how he got here:
“After graduation, I took a class that helped
with resume refinement and job search tips and
did a fair amount of networking. My mindset
was to find a job that would stretch my skills
and challenge me with a company in a growing
and reliable sector. IT and the quick-service
restaurant business seemed like the perfect fit.”
all in a day’s work:
“Recently, I’ve been working on the chain-wide
rollout of online ordering software, helping get
the credit card tokenization project underway
and assisting our real estate department with
the implementation of new mapping software
to identify and track new restaurant sites.”

one thing his parents did:
“I remember scheduling my own doctor’s
appointments as young as age 15 because my
parents encouraged me to take responsibility
for my personal needs. I have friends who are
23 who still need Mom’s help to schedule a
doctor’s appointment.”
claim to fame:
“I won a home run derby at Auburn in 2011…
still the biggest trophy I’ve ever gotten in my
life…(and the only trophy I still have).”
best advice received:
“There’s no such thing as a free lunch.”

Kirby was elected Auburn University’s SGA
President for the 2011-12 term. A large
part of his platform focused on improving
the university’s dining services, such as the
expansion of Chick-Fil-A in the student center,
which was completed last spring.
