She is a member of several school clubs and organizations, including FBLA, Emerging Young Leaders, JROTC, and the Golden Voices Choir at Booker T. Washington High School. Not only does she currently maintain her place on the A/B Honor Roll, but she is also enrolled in classes at Alabama State University. Additionally, in order to jumpstart her career in medicine, Crystal took part in an internship with Tuskegee University’s bio-Ethics program. Throughout all of her academic endeavors, Crystal says she “is always thinking about her future and her career.” Aside from focusing on her academics, Crystal devotes time to her faith as a member of the Youth Usher Board at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. When she is not participating in school or church activities, Crystal enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. what’s next Crystal plans to attend Tuskegee University, where she will major in biology. They are my biggest cheerleaders.” Tuskeegee, AL parents’ perspective Crystal’s parents, Kimberly and David, share,“We admire Crystal’s willingness to always put God first in her life, and her desire to keep academics a priority.” In addition, they respect and admire Crystal’s self-motivated attitude and ability to manage her time. “We have instilled in Crystal that persistence, determination, and courage are key,” they add. parent-to-parent Crystal’s parents suggest that other parents “set realistic expectations for (their) children”, as well as “stay informed and enforce limits.” They stress the importance of being involved in all aspects of your child’s life, while also supporting and encouraging them.
