Tyler is an extremely involved student , participating in activities that range from football to cheerleading to theatre . During his school career , he has been nominated to attend and participated in two nationally recognized leadership conferences , demonstrating his above average leadership skills and community involvement . Tyler is also an enthusiastic participant in ACA ’ s theatre department , and has played key roles in the school ’ s productions of High School Musical and Beauty and the Beast . In addition , he is a member of several sports teams , including football , track and field , soccer and even a competitive cheer team . In all that he does , Tyler says , “ I want my actions and what came of them to be remembered above all else . The good I do does not need my name attached to it .”

Tyler wants to serve in the U . S . Marine Corps . He adds , “ I would like to graduate college with a degree in engineering and use that during my service as well .”

Tyler ’ s mother , Jennifer , tells us , “ Tyler is a one of a kind type of young man . By the time he was seven , I realized I needed to pack a good deal more in his lunches . Tyler was feeding other children who did not have lunches . He has a heart of gold .” She admires her son ’ s determination and resilience , remarking , “ He has been faced with some tough situations and his ability to positively navigate through it at such a young age is inspiring .”
