This is my 11th year of back-to-school rituals
and in addition to first day photos, I LOVE
SCHOOL SUPPLIES!! No matter that I have a
cabinet full of 17 cent spiral notebooks (that I
stock-up on every year!). A new school year is
like a new start. I make resolutions like: I will
not be room mom, but I will bring cups and
plates (I know, it’s the easy “bring”); kids will
clean-out backpacks weekly; and, I will be
and will help my kids be more organized
(lofty goals, I know!).
Unfortunately, my resolutions usually fail
because I forget to get “buy-in” from my
kids (well, except the cup and plate
