These days Grover’s popularity has been eclipsed by that o f Elmo’s, and it’s interesting
to note that Elmo is both apparently the same species o f monster as is Grover (it’s just
that Elmo is red where Grover is blue) and Elmo is clearly much younger. Long before
the appearance o f Elmo, though, Grover’s difference was apparent on Sesame Street.
