At the start of the fourth and final chukker, Devrient got his third
goal when EFG Haryana was awarded a 60-yard penalty. The
Argentine sent the ball along the ground, hitting it true and straight
and it went through the uprights unhampered. The fat lady hadn’t
sung as yet, but she was warming up her vocals, Atwell had the final say with a 60-yard penalty that he sent through the uprights for
goal number 6, thereby handing the Mango Bay Barbados team a
6-4½ win and emphatic series victory.

As with any game, there has to be a winner and there has to be a loser, the
true mark of the game though is not the win or the loss, but how the game
was played. Despite their dissapointment at the series loss, the EFG
Haryana team were true sportsmen without rancour and hostility.
It was a great occasion to have them grace the Barbados fields again and
as usual tempers and competitiveness were put aside at the final horn as
equanimity and camaraderie settled onto the field
