What a backhand reach by Ollie Taylor
Roddy Williams from Rubis got things going early, when he executed a
neck shot that found its mark. This lead lasted for sometime as the equaliser
only came after a back and forth battle for most of the chukker ensued.
Dav id Ashby eventually converted from the 60-yard spot for Snakebite.
In the second chukker, Richard Deane gave Snakebite the go ahead goal
with a long range goal off the boards, but Stewart Gill brought the score
level for Rubis.
Eventually in the third chukker Snakebite managed to pull away from
Rubis; Christian Chaves was the first to score and then they were awarded a
30-yard penalty to put them two goals clear. Gill tried to pull back his team
but only managed one goal before Chaves answered for Snakebite once again.

Rubis pulled one back with just under four minutes left in the chukker
when Gill picked up a ball coming in from the left towards the northern
goal. But Snakebite were determined to win;Chaves scored his team’s
fifth goal right in front the uprights.
Oliver Taylor of Rubis struck 30 seconds into the last chukker
whilst Ashby converted a 60 yard penalty to seal the victory and title
for Snakebite 6-4. It is said that the venom from a Snakebite can kill
an adult male in less than a minute, granted this took a little longer but
the final outcome was still the same; Rubis ultimately succumbed to
the venom of the Snakebite
