letter from the editor madeline jones | editor-in-chief #CelebrateMySize INSPIRED BY ASHLEY STEWART When PLUS Model Magazine decided to feature its first ‘no-edit’ issue, it took us months of research and conversation. The reason why it took us some time was because although many people say they want to see more un-edited photos, sometimes those very same people are less than enthusiastic when the features are revealed. What made things final for us was when we started to reach out looking for those stories we wanted to tell in our Love Your Body Issue. This year we wanted to walk away from the nude imagery and focus on women who are true role models. We are living in an age when anyone can pretend to be someone they really aren’t. There’s many people calling themselves or being called “role models”. This month, I wanted to present women who are deserving of this title because of the life they lead and the way they have faced their challenges. Rosaliz Jimenez, Photo Director at People Style Watch shares her story after battling cancer and loosing several organs in the process. Beck Delude is a fashion blogger who lives with confidence and joy despite always being the tallest in the room. In middle school, sh e was already 6 feet tall and plus size... the support she received still carries her to this day.
