Empowering. It is empowering women of all shapes and sizes to accept themselves
for who they are. It is a movement of total body positivity and self love. It is breaking
the mold, and changing the fashion industry as we speak. It isn’t about being big
or small, tall or short, but about being the best version of yourself and loving every
second of it. I read a study in Women’s Health Magazine that surveyed 6,400 women
about how they feel about their beauty and the survey showed that only 2% of
women think they are truly beautiful. I whole heartedly believe that this industry is
going to change those statistics and help all women love the skin they are in.
Who are your favorite plus designers, models, bloggers and/or
celebrities?
My favorite plus designers/brands would have to be Fashion To Figure, Charlotte
Russe Plus, Forever 21 Plus, Lord and Taylor, Addition Elle, Lane Bryant, Eloquii
and Asos. My favorite models are definitely my fellow plus models especially
Christen Marucci and Maggie Hightower. Not only are they two of my favorite
plus models, but they are amazing women and friends. Ashley Graham is a huge
inspiration to me. She is a plus size model who has come so far in this industry.
She is not only an inspiration to me, but she inspires all women all over the world.
Where do you see yourself in the next year?
I hope to see myself working full time in this industry. There is nothing I would love
more than to get the chance to work with some of the biggest names in designer
fashion. On top of that, I’d love to travel and work with designers in different
countries. That would be an amazing experience.
