Valerie H. I find that being a woman who is plus size, I am relegated to doing a large percentage of my clothing purchases from an online source. It makes my life very difficult at times because I am not sure what the fabric is going to look like on my figure. Having models who represent larger body types is crucial for me. I do also love seeing women who do not have “smooth” fat, or all skinny arms and toned thighs, because it looks like me...and it gives me an idea as to what the garment is going to lay like on the body. Julie D. Size is important because what looks good on a size 2 model may be hideous on a size 22 model. I want to see what it looks like on a plus-size woman like me. Heather C. Model size is incredibly important to me when shopping online. First, it gives me a general sense of how the garment would actually look on me as a bigger woman. Second, larger garments on smaller models are often pinned back substantially making the garment appear to be a different shape than it actually is. I have stopped purchasing from online retailers who use smaller models to show plus-size clothes because I either cannot picture myself in the garment or I receive something that I expect to have definition and it’s a tent. Linda H. Not only should she be plus size but different body types. All of us aren’t hourglass/curvy, some are apple, inverted triangle, rectangle and pear shaped.
