The campaign has caused a lot of controversy and discussion. As a plus size woman
working in this industry I’m privy to a lot of information that would cause most people
to cringe. I know how “fat-phobic” some brands, designers and people can be inside
of this industry. I also know what progress looks like when I see it. A marketing
campaign such as this took a lot of thought and effort, and while they did not include a
size 18, 24 or 32 this was a step in the right direction in my opinion. Let’s celebrate all
the positive steps we are making in the industry and reserve our efforts to those that
are focused on depleting the term PLUS for their own personal gain.
