What is the average size and age of a plus size model?
The average size is 12 through 16. With that being said, there are working models
in the plus size industry that are smaller than a size 12 and larger than a size
16; they are few and far between. As for age, it’s about how you look more than
actual age. Most working models are in their 20’s to early 30’s. Again, there are
exceptions. To be an exception, you have to be an outstanding model, so building
your career is key.

How do you think the industry is reacting to the popularity of tattoos on models? I
notice they aren’t being “photoshopped” out as much!
We notice this as well. The brands are realizing that more realistic models are
selling to their customers and the reality is that a percentage of their customers
have tattoos and for that matter, have short hair, fuller bellies and arms. With that
being said, brands prefer models without large tattoos.
