Plus is Sexy...
While the term/label “plus size” continues to cause controversy and debate,
I’m completely at peace with the term.
According to many, it separates and defines us, However, I believe the term does
NOT separate us because the mainstream fashion industry never acknowledged US
until we started to create our own industry and they realized how many dollars
were being left on the table.
To me, the term “plus size” does define part of who I am, but it’s also made me part
of a community of women who support and validate one another.
Our cover model Alex LaRosa is not only beautiful but extremely knowledgeable
of what it’s like to navigate within an industry that is still tip-toeing towards PLUS
SIZE acceptance. In her “Plus Is Sexy” lingerie editorial, we are proud of featuring a
visibly plus size model who is confident and sexy, sans apologies.
