3. Be a Copy Cat Building on the exercise in #2, looking to the women around you and sort of trying their habits and routines on for size can be a useful exercise. Now, I don’t mean go all Single White Female and start dressing the same as them and wearing their perfume, but just notice how the women that you admire take care of themselves and see if any of those habits would be useful for your own personal growth. If you have a colleague who has boundless energy, and notice that she goes for a 30-minute walk every day at lunch, take that habit for a spin. If you observe that one of the other moms in your playgroup always has her nails professionally manicured, maybe that self-care ritual is part of what gives her a little extra pep and patience with her little one. Just notice how the women you admire take care of themselves and put these self-care rituals into action in your own life for a spell. Maybe you end up scrapping them, but it will definitely lead you closer to becoming the woman that you want to be. These are just a few ways to take action on becoming the woman that you want to be in the coming year.
