You have had such a long and successful career. What have you enjoyed the
most and why?
My career has lasted over 20 years because of perseverance, hard work, passion, loving what I
do and the friends, family, faith in my dreams and goals that motivates me to never quit!
The thing I have enjoyed most is the ability to wake up everyday and pursue my DREAMS.
There is no greater gift than loving what you do and having other people benefit from that
dream as well.
R&B Divas brought us into your life in a very intimate way. What are you working
on now and what is on the horizon for Nicci Gilbert?
R&B DIVAS was one of the greatest lessons of my career and personal life. I learned the power
of forgiveness and the strength of my spirit. I used the lessons I learned both good and bad
to work even harder to succeed and continue to prove that we can Uplift, Entertain and be
Real at the same time. I am very excited to be producing several new projects this year under
my NoEgo Production Company. The first one is “From The Bottom Up” and I promise it is
going to change lives, entertain and inspire so many people. The others are Television/Film
projects and I have an AMAZING group of partners this time around, which will be announced
very soon. I am also releasing my first book, launching my non-profit womeninreality.org to
help improve the images and resources of women in the media and I am embarking on several
public speaking and empowerment conferences.
