Dia de los Muertos
(Day of the Dead)
Dia de los Muertos is celebrated in Mexico every November 1st. It is the day set aside to remember their ancestors and honor their dead, but not through dirges or sad memorials. Instead there are festivals and celebrations. Believing that sadness and mourning would insult the dead, instead there are parties, bright colors and activities the dead enjoyed in life.
