Police continued public. Our self-defense instructors routinely hold several women’s self-defense classes each year. We have “Walk with a Cop Day” where officers teach young school aged children about pedestrian safety. We have held programs in conjunction with our partners at the Pickerington Senior Center about elder-scams and identity theft. We have also taught numerous active-shooter response classes with area churches, schools and businesses. Our department is committed to forming partnerships with the citizens and the businesses we serve. The cornerstone of our department’s philosophy is in our community-oriented, grass roots, customer-based service style policing efforts.
