City continued
football programs in the community and when the two come
together for the Battle of 256, the air is electric. As many as
10,000 fans will pack the host stadium each year.
The City also has a strong, independent sports program for
children ages 4-18. The Pickerington Youth Athletic Association
(PYAA) is a private, volunteer, non-profit organization that
sponsors sports ranging from baseball and football to lacrosse
and bowling. Thousands of children participate annually in
games and tournaments at PYAA’s large athletic complex.
A community with strong churches, Pickerington also has a
ministerial association where church leaders come together
and plan several outreach events, including National Night
Out and ACTS (a day of giving and serving). Additionally, the
ministerial association leads a moving prayer walk through
the heart of the Pickerington village
