ducating for tomorrow. They are three
simple words that convey the promise of
Pickerington Schools.
Educating for tomorrow is the foundation upon which we
are preparing today’s students to be tomorrow’s leaders and
responsible, productive citizens. This core idea is integral to
Pickerington Schools being a school district of choice for
residents and businesses.
These words reflect the promise that our curriculum is designed
with the future in mind, and that we will continue to invest
the resources our community provides to us in highly trained
teachers, educational technology, and a holistic, integrated
approach to education.
In short: We are forward focused.
The children in our 14 schools
represent more than 10,000 points
of pride, and make Pickerington
Schools the 17th largest school
district in Ohio. We are proud that
more than 96 percent of our students
graduate within four years, and
that the class of 2015 was offered
more than $17.5 million in college
scholarships. Approximately 92
percent of our graduates from the
Class of 2015 attend college or are
continuing their education through
a technical or trade school.

Pickerington Schools
consistently invests in
programs designed to
prepare our students
for college and careers.
For example, through our College Credit Plus program,
students in Grades 7-12 can receive both college and high
school credits for taking the same classes, many of which are
taught by Pickerington teachers in Pickerington schools. In
2015-16, students worked to earn 1,441 college credits, which
would have cost an estimated $623,000 at a school such as
The Ohio State University.
For 2015-16, the district expanded the number of colleges and
universities it is partnering with for the program. In addition to
its original partner school, Columbus State
Community College, Pickerington now has
agreements with Central Ohio Technical
College and Ohio University. Students can
take advantage of off-campus work at The
Ohio State University and Ohio University,
and online classes via Rhodes State College
and the University of Toledo.
We seek and nurture partnerships
that help us provide innovative and
unique educational opportunities. A
shining example is our partnership
with OhioHealth’s Pickerington Medical
Campus, which is providing our Biomedical
Sciences program a unique learning space
and giving students access to working
medical professionals.
