A new season
and a year in review
This is our last pubication of the year! And what a special year it has been.
The PERREAULT Team has shared so many wondeful stories, important global campaigns, as well as providing tools for you to engage with a cause and to 'get involved' with a cause. We have received so many emails from 'global citizens' praising our educational platform and our rich digital content, and have posted some of the comments our on official website: 'What People Say'.
We strive to find and share with you the most unique stories and people from around the globe and we take pride in providing honest journalism and bringing important issues in the forefront.
While every season brings its own exciting experiences, this Fall feels utterly special as we are harvesting from the many planted seeds since our launch, almost three years ago! We will share some of those 'colorful bouquets' with you in the next year.
In this issue, we share Malala’s story. As a child, she became an advocate for girls' education, which resulted in the Taliban issuing a death threat against her. On October 9, 2012, a gunman shot Malala when she was traveling home from school. She has become an inspiration to girls and women everywhere and has been a beacon for social justice and peace around the world.
One of the most fascinating Kenyan tribes is the Samburu people. In Samburu society, body adornments clearly indicate a person’s social or ritual status. The aesthetic appreciation of beauty is a major part of Samburu life and their beliefs, and this shows itself most in an incredible attention to physical appearance and adornment.
