Intermediate Women's Chorus
This is the entry-level choir for female students (primarily 9th, but all
grades are welcome) interested in singing. The following musical skills
will be taught over the course of the semester: proper breathing, vocal
production, blend and balance, expansion of range, intonation, and
music reading. Ability to read music is NOT a prerequisite for this
course. Various styles of choral music will be explored to prepare
students for membership in Advanced chorus. Out-of-school rehearsals,
performances, and activities or substitute assignments are part of the
course grade. Homework varies with the individual and choral
repertoire.
