Hilary Barnes, PhD, CRNP is a family NP and a research fellow in the
Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Research at the University of
Pennsylvania School of Nursing. Her research focuses on NP-delivered
care in ambulatory settings and the influence of state-level practice and
reimbursement policies on NP workforce distribution and access to care.
Dr. Barnes is also a fellow in the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics at the University of Pennsylvania.
Linda H. Aiken, PhD, RN, FAAN, FRCN is the Claire M. Fagin leadership professor of nursing and sociology. She directs the Center for
Health Outcomes and Policy Research at the University of Pennsylvania
School of Nursing and is a senior fellow at the Leonard Davis Institute
of Health Economics. Dr. Aiken conducts research on the healthcare
workforce and quality of healthcare in the U.S. and globally. She is
committed to improving outcomes by building an evidence base for
health services management and providing direction for national policymakers.
Antonia M. Villarruel, PhD, RN, FAAN is the Margaret Bond Simon
dean of nursing at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing.
She is internationally renowned for her leadership in policy, practice
and research on health promotion and health disparities. Dr. Villarruel is
also a senior fellow in the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics
at the University of Pennsylvania.
