Panasonic HG-C Laser
distance sensor
Panasonic offers the laser distance sensor HG-C
with a repeatability of 10µm and a response time
of 1.5ms at an unbeatable price. The distance
sensor HG-C opens up many new possibilities for
industrial automation. For example, the sensor
is optimally suited for positioning robot arms,
measuring the position of hoops, checking for the presence of very small objects or
checking for the overlapping of even the thinnest types of material.
Measuring can take place both stationary and dynamically. As there is both a digital
and an analog output signal (0 - 5V) available for integration into the process, it is
possible to perform dynamic measurements or control loops or determine profiles and
contours of many different components.
You only need the function keys to configure the sensor and immediately the measured
distance will be displayed in millimetres on the built-in four-digit display. Additional
digital inputs are used to trigger the sensor, to control the laser power, and to perform
zero adjustment.

POLAR inductive
sensors for
hazardous dust and
gas atmospheres
down to -60°C
The new IGEXP series inductive proximity sensors from EGE for use in
zone 0/20 hazardous areas are suitable for ambient temperatures from
-60°C to +60°C. The devices manufactured from 1.4571 stainless steel
and PTFE provide a IP68/IP69K protection rating. Designed for reliable
operation even with frequent temperature variations, they are especially
suitable for use in rugged industrial environments. The sensors connect to
the IKM 122 Ex amplifier. The first models to be introduced are M12 and
M18 type sensors. They are connected via a 2 meter FEP cable.

Although the external dimensions of the new PM Series Micro
Photoelectric sensors have not changed compared to the older
models, the distance between the emitting and receiving
elements have been increased by 1mm. The wider distance
between the emitter and receiver decreases the possibility of
collision with the objects they are designed to detect.
The fixed width of the sensing head eliminates the need to
perform beam alignment during installation. Reliability is
increased significantly by encapsulating areas, such as PCB
to cable connections in resin. This helps prevent malfunctions
caused by vibrations and impacts and means the cabled PM25 and PM-45 series offer an IP64 environmental resistance
rating. All models in the PM-25/45/65 series are equipped with
reverse polarity protection so that the sensor is not damaged by
incorrect wiring.
