Hansford Sensors launches new
semi-permanent mounting solutions
Hansford Sensors, the leading manufacturer and global supplier of industrial
accelerometers, has extended its range of mounting options for vibration sensors still
further with the launch of the new HS-AM series of mounting magnets.
The HS-AM magnets are an effective temporary mounting solution that enables vibration
sensors to be securely connected to the mounting face of an asset while readings are
taken using a hand held data collector.
The new HS-AM series is available in a range of sizes, from 20mm to 40mm, and pull
strengths, between 12kg and 45kg, to meet the mounting needs of manufacturers
operating critical machinery in almost any application, such as metals, cement and
pharmaceutical production. Each magnet within the series has an operating temperature
range of up to 80 degrees centigrade. In addition, where manufacturers opt for quick fit
mounting, the HS-AM magnets can be fitted with an AS012 Stud Adapter.

wins significant Automotive
business at Slovakia facility
AWS, a European specialist contract electronics manufacturers, has announced
that a major Tier 1 automotive manufa cturer has contracted with the company
for volume manufacture of its assemblies and systems at the companies CEE
facility in Slovakia. ‘We have won several significant automotive programs
recently’, commented AWS CEO Paul Deehan, ‘which has led to very fast growth
at our Namestovo facility in Slovakia.
The latest deal is for LED lighting products that go into high end vehicles, so the
business is both high volume and high quality.’
AWS has continued to invest and grow the Namestovo plant to take advantage
of such opportunities with Tier 1 auto suppliers benefiting from low cost
manufacturing closer to their end user factories than S.E Asia. The Slovakian
facility uses exactly the same processes, equipment and management systems
that AWS has developed for its UK plant, which also handles Fast Track and NPI
business as well as through life MRO.
