Editors Choice New Product Literature from Thermaset Leading powder coatings company, Thermaset Limited, based in Tamworth, Staffordshire, has launched a new suite of product brochures. The new range of individual A4 size publications covers Thermaset’s specification brochures for its Spectra range and Ripple Finishes, a description of its Hygienilac Antibacterial powder coatings and a Stock Range brochure. AUMA completes Thames Water refurbishment in record time AUMA UK has completed a major actuator refurbishment programme at Thames Water’s Ashford Common advanced water treatment works. The upgrade project involved refurbishing 130 electric actuators and installing 30 new units over a nine week period, whilst keeping the site fully operational. Commenting on the achievement, AUMA UK Managing Director Paul Hopkins said: The specification brochures include four pages of product samples demonstrating the extensive ranges of RAL colours and finishes available. The Spectra range from Thermaset is new to the market and is a collection of diverse finishes which are an exciting alternative to standard RAL and BS colours. “The ability to renovate a 22 year old actuator is testament to the modular design and high quality construction of the AUMA product. The simple single plug and socket arrangement of the AUMA actuator means minimum downtime during actuator replacement and avoids any possibility of introducing field wiring errors.” For further information please contact Ben Jennens at Themaset on 01827 55777 or email: [email protected]. On request the system can be designed with an automatic air gap regulation. The new series of the KTR-STOP® line generates clamping forces up to 203 kN and can be used in the low temperature range up to -40 °C. KTR is going to present the brake system at the HUSUM Wind (hall 5, booth C04) for the first time. The industry’s only completely watertight pollution containment valve, the Hydro-Isolator®, is now available from Hydro International, supported by a full design, commissioning and maintenance service. At present the new series is available in the sizes KTR-STOP® S-D and KTRSTOP® M-D. With a weight of 68 or 76 kg the compactly designed highperformance brakes generate maximum clamping forces of 141 or 203 kN. The series is completely made from steel and can be used in the low temperature range of up to -40 °C. Email: [email protected] www.ktr.com www.auma.com Nationwide, there are already more than 150 installations of this valve design installed in the UK, helping facility owners prevent damaging surface water pollution incidents. The Hydro-Isolator® valve was invented by David Cole, Hydro International’s water pollution manager. He states: “The Hydro-Isolator® is a watertight and failsafe valve for pollution, flood water or spill containment and the only valve we would recommend for organisations obliged to comply with UK environmental protection regulations, according to the CIRIA 736 industry standard guidance.
