Measurement & Monitoring
New Central Weighing
Terminal
B+L Industrial Measurement announces the
release of a new user weighing terminal that
works in conjunction with up to 16 filling
controllers. Aimed at automated system builders
the new terminal reduces costs and complexity by eliminating the need for
individual user interfaces and displays at each weighing head.
Bag filling in the 1 to 50 kilogram weight range will often utilise multiple
filling heads in a linear or rotary configuration. Setting-up these heads and
monitoring them usually means control panels with keypads and displays at
each of the filling points. The new Central Terminal (CT) from B+L operates
remotely via Ethernet meaning each filling head can be set-up and operated
from the CT.
A 7inch touch screen display enables the CT to show a graphic representation
of the filling system. This makes selecting a filling head and adjusting its
weight parameters very straightforward.

Highly Accurate
Outdoor Measurement
EE33-M is the newest addition to the
well proven EE33 transmitter series for
relative humidity (RH) and temperature
(T). The heated RH sensor, the additional
heating of the RH sensing probe and a
separate T probe ensure highly accurate outdoor measurements even
under condensation conditions. A special coating protects the RH sensor
against pollution. Together with a radiation shield, EE33-M is ideal for
high-end meteorology applications.
Modular and
fully configurable
Gas Analysers
Due to a large growth in our product range, the Rapidox gas analysers
have now become modular and fully configurable. A range of single,
dual and multigas analysers are available in bench mounted, portable
and rack mounted configurations. Customers will now have the ability
to tailor their requirements in order to meet their bespoke gas analysis
requirements.

Advanced Torque
Calibration Service
from HBM
The new DAkkS (National Accreditation Body for the Federal Republic of
Germany) Accredited Torque Calibration machine developed by HBM –
a market leader in the field of test and measurement – means HBM is
now the only commercial calibration laboratory in Europe able to provide
calibration in the high torque range with sufficient delivery times.
A radiation shield is essential for best performance outdoors. The sensing
probes of EE33M match modern radiation shields with forced ventilation
such as LAM630. EE33-M calculates all RH and T related parameters
such as dew point temperature, absolute humidity, and mixing ratio. An
optional connection cable allows for easy adjustment and configuration of
the transmitter. The optional RS485 interface enables a network of up to
As manufacturers and users of motor test benches tend to only accept
calibration certificates from accredited calibration laboratories, this can
often take up to 15 months. The new Torque Calibration machine from
HBM, which is used by HBM as part of its in-house accredited calibration
service, significantly speeds up delivery times, which is a often a
competitive factor in project management.

The ABR Automated Breakthrough
Analyzer – characterizing novel materials for
gas separation and purification applications
Achieve Zero Error in
Manufacturing of Parts,
Modules and Kits
Hiden Isochema is delighted to announce the launch of
our all-new ABR Automated Breakthrough Analyzer, which
complements our existing larger scale breakthrough reactor
systems.
Weighing is an inexpensive and easy-to-apply
method for in-process and end-of-line quality
control. It allows high throughput to support errorfree automated manufacturing. The new white paper
Zero Errors for Automated Manufacturing – Efficient
Control Method Succeeds outlines how to obtain:
The ABR is designed to meet the needs of researchers
wishing to characterize the gas separation performance
of novel materials, such as metal-organic frameworks
(MOFs), zeolitic imidazolate frameworks (ZIFs) and covalent
organic frameworks (COFs), without the time or expense of
synthesizing larger quantities of material. Breakthrough curve
measurement allows high-throughput screening and testing
of adsorbents, for a wide range of separation processes
including CO2 capture and storage, the purification and recovery of noble gases,
natural gas and biogas upgrading, toxic gas removal and air separation.
• Accuracy and reliability
• Easy verification of equipment
• Multiple high speed control points
It also discusses successful applications of weight based quality control and how to
remove defective parts, modules or kits from the manufacturing process. METTELR
TOLEDO’s compact and rugged weigh modules optimise in-production quality control
and ensure zero error weighing. The weigh modules are easily integrated into
machines and instruments and provide fast, accurate and precise results.
