stablished in 1988, ATP specialises
in developing and manufacturing
client-specific adhesive products.
Renowned for their range of
superior quality products, the
company develops and produces solvent free,
pressure sensitive and heat activated adhesive
tapes and films up to 2,250mm in width.

With an established, worldwide distribution
network and modern manufacturing capability,
ATP supplies to a variety of industry segments
including automotive, transportation, foam,
graphic, electronics, plastics, speciality labels,
medical and building and construction.
“ATP always strives to exceed customer
expectations by developing customer aligned
solutions which offer technical advantages
competitively and quickly,” commented
Segment Manager, Richard Simpson. “ATP
is a very customer focussed organisation.
Because we formulate and prepare all our own
adhesives, we have the ability to customise
solutions for our customers and can produce
bespoke products which satisfy their exact
requirements.”
The company have developed a new innovative
range of low emission adhesive tapes and films
which are capable of bonding a wide variety of
materials used in the production of automobile
components including foamed plastics, nonwoven acoustic insulation, seals and gaskets,
anti-rattle felts, electronic components and
sensors, decorative trims, door panels,
headliners and textile components.
The target of the new development was to fulfil
the widest spectrum of bonding performance
whilst realising the lowest possible adhesive
emissions according to VDA275, VDA 277
and VDA278. These new adhesive tapes
can be supplied in rolls from 10mm up
to 2,250mm or as die cut pieces, the
products offer customers a wide
choice of adhesive without
compromising bonding
performance.

customers to formulate solutions that are
unique to them. To ensure the upmost
quality of our products, the quality status
and level of appropriateness are evaluated
on an ongoing basis. Our continuous quality
control procedures guarantee the best possible
product for our customers,” explained Richard.
During June 2015, ATP Adhesive Systems
commissioned and opened a new factory. The
overall investment of ca. 20 million euro for the
site includes the construction of a production
and warehousing facility with a 12,000m² floor
area together with an 860m² office complex.
The central focus point of the new factory is
a new 70m long, state-of-the-art coating line
with clean-air manufacturing will enable ATP to
produce self-adhesive films to extremely tight
tolerances and with exceptionally high quality
optical appearance.
“Our production processes are also optimised
to have the lowest possible environmental
impact.” The company recently achieved
accreditation to ISO50001 which is an energy
management system that helps the company
identify and realise energy savings throughout
the business.
“Responsible energy resource management,
plus an increasing use of renewable energy,
results in a reduction of greenho use gas
emissions, which helps protect and preserve
of our world for future generations,” concluded
Richard. “We are extremely pleased to have
gained this accreditation as well as opening our
new production facility. Not only will the new
factory be an asset to the company and our
customers, it will also create up to 50 jobs for
highly trained staff.
“In regards to the future, we aim to continue
expanding the company and are constantly
working on improving our existing products
and introducing new systems to help our
customers keep up to date with the latest
technology. This includes solvent free adhesive
tapes with high levels of cohesion and a range
of fire resistant tapes. The new production
capability also affords us the opportunity
to produce very thin adhesive films up to
1,800mm in width, critical in a number of
electronic applications.”
ATP attends many trade shows throughout the
year and will be appearing at the Advanced
Engineering show in Birmingham on the 4-5
November 2015 and Batimat in Paris, France
on the 2-6 November 2015.
