Nothing says fall to me better than a trip to the makeup counter for a new lip
color. Buying makeup, after all, requires no changing rooms or bare bodies in
fluorescent lighting—and for me, a new lipstick is the ultimate pick-me-up. After
a summer of glossy neutrals and pinks, I love a good rich lip for fall. Paired with
a clean, cat eye swipe of eyeliner and a neutral shadow, you can be fall ready
with minimal effort. Here are a few that caught my eye.

Becca Ultimate Color Gloss in Hummingbird.
A sheer, berry red, it is great with Fall’s leather
accented clothing or perfect for an evening out
without being too pigmented for those of us
who aren’t bold enough for a full-on red lip.

L’Oreal Infallible 6 HR Plumping Gloss in
Plumped Plum. L’Oreal is a great, accessible
line with a staggering range of colors for lips.
This one is a go-to for an every day look that’s
glossy without looking too juvenile.

L’Oreal Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain in
Everlasting Caramel and Stubborn Plum. This
product’s texture is almost watery going on, but
then it changes in texture as you wear it. It’s easy
to layer for a deeper tone and wears nicely.
