The immense combined living and dining room open up to a large terrace that looks onto the United Nations Tower . All in all , a spectacular place to start a new life in the city .
After completing the logistics of resizing all the carpeting and having all the treatments remade to fit the new windows , it was time to reinvent and rethink the use of existing furniture that didn ’ t have a place in their originally designated location . The Robert Kuo bedside chests no longer fit in the bedroom so we placed them on either side of the sofa in the living room . The dining portion of the room begged for a larger and more beefy table and chairs , so we used the former wine room ensemble . Fortunately , the keeping room furniture fit perfectly and it all came from the Charlotte kitchen . The only additions to complete the function of that room were a bookshelf and baskets for toys .
