United Nations African Senior Military Police Advisors visit Carlisle Barracks and receive PKSOI briefings A delegation of African senior military and police advisors to the United Nations visited Carlisle Barracks 7-8 July, to gain familiarity with PKSOI and discuss topics related to peace operations. The delegation included representatives from Burundi, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Ghana, Namibia, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, and Tanzania. Discussion topics included an overview of PKSOI, U.S. Support to Peacekeeping, a demonstration of PKSOI's Stability Operations Lessons Learned Information Management System (SOLLIMS), the U.S. Asia-Pacific Strategic Rebalance, 26 Transitional Public Security, Transnational Organized Crime, the Protection of Civilians, and Women, Peace, and Security. The delegation also received an orientation on the Gettysburg campaign, which was followed by a staff ride to the Gettysburg Battlefield. PKSOI works extensively with the United Nations and other international organizations, and frequently participates in training and other events that are conducted in African countries. The delegation's visit helped to strengthen PKSOI's ties with these important partners.
