Sean Scott, founding partner of Rezo Online Booking Solution, has been in paintball for
many years. And like his partner Mike Dagnino, he currently works at Challenge Park
Xtreme (CPX) in Joliet, Illinois). We caught up with the duo recently to get the skinny on
the Rezo Online Booking Solution:
What’s the history of Rezo?
In 2008, CPX Sports
began researching for
an easy way to book
private events at it’s
multi-million dollar
paintball facility just
outside Chicago. Tired
of endless voicemails,
faxes and missed sales
opportunities … the
task of building an online reservation system
began. When it launched in January of 2009,
CPX was instantly aware of its power. Floods
of bookings were coming in at all hours of the
day, especially the evening hours when their
sales office was closed. In addition to convenience, CPX also believes that consumer’s
confidence with online purchases and the
ability to see all booking options without pressure from a sales person aided in the success
of the system.
Soon after its launch, with thousands of reservations in the books, CPX decided that many
businesses could benefit from an online reservation system. A new division was formed
called CPX Technology and work on what has
become Rezo was started.
Our vision was to move the reservation system to an internet based online tool, and bring
it to other businesses at a fraction of the cost
to build from the ground up. We tapped brilliant programmers to make Rezo not only feature rich and highly advanced, but also very
user friendly.
and my brother, Paul Dagnino, grew so rapidly
that I started working on the weekends to help
out. As they continued to grow, there was a
need for more full time help with the operation. In wanting to keep CPX as a true family
business, my dad asked if I’d ever consider
joining on full time. At the time I was working
outside the industry, but I saw the potential to
be a part of something special...so I jumped
in. It was a no brainer and today I am the Vice
President of Operations.
SEAN SCOTT: I Stated in 1995 as a referee
at Drop Zone Paintball Park as a way to help
pay for playing paintball. I later was brought in
full time to manage a store. Since then, I have
worked for various paintball companies such
as KAPP (Pacific Paintball), Smart Parts, and
Procaps. I was brought into the CPX Family
March of 2012 as the Director of Strategic
Operations.
How did the Paintball Extravaganza
go for you?
The Paintball Extravaganza had a better than
expected result. We are always impressed
with the attendees as they are truly there to
learn and have open minds. People really sat
down and learned took the time to learn about
Rezo and how it can help their business.
They’re not just collecting brochures. We were
really able to explain our product to them and
we saw that all around the showroom floor as
well. It’s also always a great time to network
and really bounce ideas off peo
