An Interview With
Antonio Porras
Can you give us a brief history
of your J4 and the Torque?
The gun, as a project, started as an
experiment on a Spyder AMG with a
balance spool-poppet, or spoppet valve,
back in 2003 or so. I had a very effective design, but realized I could just
connect the ram and spool, and... the
Torque was conceived. I filed for a patent in 2005, had it award in 2009, and
then started work on the current design.
After running the prototype for a few
years we realized we had a product we
really liked, and the only stupid thing
was not bringing it to market. So we
started up J4 Paintball in 2012. PBE
2013 was our small
launch, and we
have grown from
there.
the years, I have, from bolts to guns.
Plus I ran a few fields, worked some
stores, and now this.
Besides the Torque do you have
anything new in the works that
you can tell us about?
Just a couple guns.
