84 Barter Town Each tribe had only one true mission for the game. They had to hunt and gather props to raise their level of technological advancement. Some props were just pieces that had to be assembled to make more important technology. These included phones, radios, a cannon, and even a doomsday device. Ben Torricelli of MPP Games, decided to see if a game could be run by not controlling the flow of the game with missions. From the reactions of most of the players, this style of game was a hit. According to Tyler of Omega Tribe, “I thought it made the general’s job a lot easier, since all you really had to worry about was troop placement and getting props off the field periodically.” But collecting props was not the only way for the tribes of Alpha and Omega to get ahead. They could also purchase some items they needed at Barter Town. The only way to get things from Barter town was to purchase them with gold in bar and coin form march 2014 Barter Town was developed from the craziest minds known to Bear Claw Paintball. Bobio and Wizard from the scenario team, Blackhearts got together with Ben and came up with the idea of Barter Town. Here, gold is king, and a player could purchase just about anything. These mad men went as far as creating a background for the people running Barter town. According to a file retrieved from a burned out government building the men running Barter Town were escaped aliens that crashed on Earth. One of them was even credited with starting World War 2. Rumor has it that these aliens lived for war and wanted the tribes to fight. When you visited Barter Town, you had to know the password in order to even talk to the about buying anything. The tribes started the game with no special characters and had to purchase them from these strange men of Barter Town. These included medics, demolition packs, law rocket launchers, and even tanks! It is even rumored that they could even hook up a tribe with a doomsday device for the right price. Saturday - The Hunt is On! After a cold night, Saturday morning welcomed warm weather for the start of the game. Each tribe took to the field and went right to their bases to to plan out what to do.
