7-1, 7-0, 7-2 and the games were not as close as
the scores indicate. On the other side of the bracket upTon 187 cRew, although not nearly as dominating as Art Chaos, also put up four straight wins.
these would both be signs of what was to come.
The rest of the Challengers bracket was a mixed
bag of good and not-so-good. Only Houston VcK
(who moved up from Division One) and Sacramento XSV won at least three of their four preliminary
round games. While five teams, including Moscow
Red Legion (yes, really) lost three or more first
round games. In the semifinals upTon 187 cRew
defeated Houston VcK 7-5 in a really good game.
On the other side, Art Chaos continued their dominating performance with a 7-1 victory over Sacramento XSV.
Heading to the Challengers division finals were
two teams that to this point hadn’t lost a game-Art Chaos versus upTon 187 cRew. And as well as
upTon 187 cRew was playing, anyone you asked
would lay their money on the boys from Russia.
While upTon 187 cRew managed to score three
points, more than anyone else had scored against
Art Chaos, it was all in a losing effort. Art Chaos
once again looked like they could win the pro division on any given day as they pulled out yet another win, 7-3 and the Challengers division title for
Dallas.
Four Division One RaceTo 5 teams looked nearly unbeatable in the preliminary rounds in Dallas--Carolina Collision, Revo, TradeMyGun Outlaws
and the home team of sorts, ac Dallas all swept
their opening round games. VcK II, Syracuse
Rhythm, DC Devastation and Philadelphia Energy each won three of their four preliminary round
games.
