The 951 players who came together for
Fulda Gap 2013 at Command Decisions were greeted with some of the best
weather the game has enjoyed yet: sunny
skies with temperatures that climbed as
high as seventy degrees Sunday. Night
players and campers had it a bit rougher though, as once the sun went down
the temperature dropped quickly. After
the NATO and Warsaw players braved
long chronograph and air lines and hit
the field Saturday, the red Warsaw team
spilled across the field like water and began taking objectives and holding critical
positions from firebases and key areas
in the woods to Sim City, setting the tone

for the entire game. The Warsaw Pact
got ahead on the scoreboard immediately and stayed there. While the battles
were intense from one end of Command
Decisions to the other and NATO fought
valiantly throughout the day Saturday,
through the night and, thanks to a large
defection from Warsaw to NATO, turned
Sunday into a pitched battle, General
“Mamba” and his Warsaw team were
in command from beginning to end.
He graciously attributed his landslide,
four-thousand point victory to his command staff and their months of planning
leading up to the game.
