29 Thursday night and early Friday morning saw the skies open up and rain come pouring down, but the weather gods were shining on Bear Claw Paintball in Fayetteville, TN. The weather cleared by mid morning and the players started rolling in for the Millennium Paintball Productions (MPP) – A Bridge Too Far. This game saw Operation Market Garden come to life with the Allies invading the Netherlands while the Germans were trying to keep them out. Leading the Germans in the defense of the Fatherland was Chris ‘Wildthang’ Littleton of the Chilton County Predators, and leading the Allies into battle was Matthew McKinney of Black Karma. Bridges In this game bridges were the name of the game. Each side had to control bridges in order to move freely around the field. Ben Torricelli of MPP decided to divide the field into 4 parts with three rivers dividing the field. Each river had one bridge crossing it. Of course, this being Mr. Torricelli, none of the bridges lined up with the next bridge. This required the players to move from one side of the field to the other to get to a place that if they could walk straight to was within 10 feet of them. There were two reprieves from all this walking. The players could use flotation devices, or make a temporary bridge for infantry or tanks. These devices could be purchased from the black market. Black Market The Black Hearts were back again! This time, they were the Swiss black market. As before, each side could purchase items from them for use on the field. This included pool rafts to use to cross the rivers, temporary bridges, grenades, passports, scout planes, and other sneaky items. There were three types of passports that could be purchased. They were Swiss, American, and Germa
