Blitz Championship Series
Interview with Isaac Blizzard
Hello Isaac - So
tell us about
your tournament
series.
The event series was
first launched in
2006, starting out
as a semi auto 100
point max series.
Constantly trying
to improve, great
strides were made
in scheduling, then
B.C.S. changed to
a race format with
ramping. In 2008, Blitz installed the first
outdoor artificial turfed fields in Colorado.
Over time B.C.S. switched to a millennium
style race format, with ramp to 12.5 and Semi
Auto to 15. Rotating 2 matches at once on
both fields makes for constant action and less
wait times. In 2013 we opened the tournament fields at our new world class facility. The
tournament fields boast fully rubberized and
brushed outdoor sports turf with 2 inches of
rubber brushed in, 20x20 pits with chronographs and air. The fields were professionally
leveled and the turf is installed not just laid in
so you can slide without catching an edge.
With the introduction of a top tier tournament
area to Colorado the B.C.S. has seen fantastic
growth in its first year at the new facility and
we foresee continued growth in the future!
What is your history in paintball?
I Became involved as a player in 93. Played
a few times a year until I was invited to join
a team around 95-96. Played and won many
local events including a local (RMCS) series
championship. Played a couple National
events in 1998 including NPPL Chicago and
NPPL World cup as a player and ref. After
a 7 years out of the sport mainly due to an
extreme work schedule, I decided it was time
to do what I love and Founded Blitz Paintball
January 2014
in 2005. I have worked full time in paintball
operations ever since.
Do you have a schedule for this year yet?

How is paintball doing in Colorado?
At Blitz Paintball we have seen a steady increase in the amount of players over all as
well as tournament teams. Scenario is also
very popular and we are throwing our 1st
scenario event.
What are your short and long term
goals?
They are both the same. Continue to promote
paintball participation among new players.
Run the best tournaments possible. Promote
Scenario paintball. Strive to promote paintball
in general to as many people as possible.
What makes your events special?
B.C.S. Events are exceptionally well run, and
have very high payouts vs cost. They give you
the feel of a large regional event in a local
market. Also, a great reason to pa
