Division One RaceTo 5 saw 15 teams at the
West Coast Open. Distortion, Chicago Open
winners, didn’t make it out of the first round.
DC Devastation, MAO winners, did make it out
of the preliminary rounds but lost to ac Dallas
3-2 in the quarterfinals. The aforementioned
ac Dallas team won the Dallas Open (I know,
that’s confusing) and at the WCO they made
it all the way to the finals where they met Los
Angeles Collision, who came out of nowhere
to get there. Consider this: LA Collision was
ranked 22nd this season and their best finish was 18th place. To get to the finals was
huge but could they beat a seasoned ac Dallas
team? They played a great game but lost 3-2.
Congrats to ac Dallas for their second win of
the season and congrats to LA Collision for a
great event.
Revo II, Pr1me and Boom came out hot in
Division Two RaceTo 5, each sweeping their
preliminary round games. Fuzion had two wins
and a tie and those four teams made up the
finals in Division Two. In the finals it was Revo
II over Boom II 3-2, while Pr1me defeated
Fuzion 3-2 to take third.
If you haven’t noticed by now, Revo is pretty
stocked. In fact it was Revo III that breezed
through Division Three completely undefeated
to win the division without a single loss. That
puts three teams with the name Revo in the
finals in three different divisions. San Antonio
Notorious defeated Pr1me in the Division Four
finals, with Palm Beach Venom taking third.
Royalty took Division Three RaceTo 2 and Lost
Coast Lunatics won Division Four RaceTo 2.
We’ll be back with full coverage of the PSP’s finale, the World Cup and until then go to www.
