Jerry Braun was also an instrumental part of the NPPL in its early days and a force behind teams like Ground Zero and New York Xtreme, in addition to owning Paintball Sports, a long-standing paintball magazine that ceased publication a few years back. Braun remains in paintball to this day as the owner of Survival New York. JJ Brookshire Like most of us JJ got his start in paintball first as a rec player, then moved into the tournament scene. While still a player JJ worked at National Paintball Supply (South) under Rick Fairbanks and Doug Brown and then for Brass Eagle and finally back at National Paintball Supply but this time the NPS East version run by Gino Postorivo. JJ has also written for several paintball magazines, founded the organization known as SPPLAT, was chairman of the paintball subcommittee of ASTM and the one that brought William Shatner into the game of paintball. Doug Brown Doug is another paintball lifer that’s been in the game for more than 25 years. He’s been a partner in National Paintball Supply (with Rick Fairbanks), a player and now you’ll find him working with Milsig. Steve Bull Steve set up the UKPSF, governing body in the UK and according to some, the one who single handily saved the game from being banned several times in Europe. As a field owner he has also advised many other countries on the establishment of their own paintball governing bodies. Steve’s best work is done behind the scenes but he has helped shape UK paintball for many years.
