Edmonton Impact’s West Coast Open event got off to a stellar start as they beat Top Gun Union 7-2. Impact’s next two games were even easier as they beat San Antonio X-Factor and LA Infamous 7-2. In their last preliminary round game Impact beat Tampa Bay Damage 7-4 in a hard fought but decisive win. Speaking of Tampa Bay Damage, they started off with two strong wins then lost to Top gun Union and Impact. In the Pro semifinals things got very interesting. The first semifinal Pro game of the day on Sunday was Edmonton Impact versus Houston Heat. This game was everything you could want in a professional paintball game as the teams traded flag hangs, point

after point. In the end it was Impact that was just too much for Houston Heat to handle. The final score was 5-4 in favor of Impact. In the Moscow Red Legion versus Tampa Bay Damage game the teams traded points with Red Legion taking the first point and Damage taking the next. This game was a mirror image of the Impact Heat game before it. The two teams then traded points again, this time with Damage taking the 2-1 lead first. The game continued at this pace, with back and forth scoring point after point. With about three minutes left Tampa Bay Damage took a 5-4 lead and they would hold that lead to win the game and move onto the finals against Edmonton Impact.
