issue 20 8/2013 Welcome What Lies Beyond th The season is ending and now most paintball players have to wait an agonizing 5-6 months until the next season can begin. And the struggle to find indoor refuge that provides some type of life sustaining paintball action, Reball or paint, heated or -30 below, begins. Paintball addicts are a hardy breed and go to great lengths to feed their habits. As the season closes many series only have one or two events left. For the Millennium Series, Paris will be the final frontier and what the Millennium has promised will take that step into the future of European paintball. Paris will also host the “real” World Cup. I anxiously await this event with high expectations. Already the Millennium Series has been releasing some of the new fresh ideas and changes, one of which is the shaking of hands after each match in public view. In my opinion this is past due. Often in the pits you see teams go over and shake hands and say “great game” or in a couple instances, “I shot you first, it was a bad call”. Nonetheless the Millennium Series has begun to mimic, and in some cases improve its American counterpart series, PSP, taking steps to further the sport. The Champions Paintball Series season is also coming to an end, the weekend after the final Millennium event. The CPS has a hotly-debated love/hate relationship with the Millennium. The CPS is taking a bo move by turning the tables and lea the traditional Millennium M5 form for PSP mode of 12.5 bps. The m lion-dollar question that first come mind is, will the CPS and the Mille um become the European version the NPPL and the PSP. Will they b able to entice teams to participate their series, if so what will they hav offer teams? Along with the end of the season w also see the blood, sweat and tear on the field as te ams try to reach t much sought-after champions title -- or for some moving up to a high division. Now for the 10 million-do lar question, will the foreign teams that have invaded the Millennium t season remain for the 2014 seaso or agree with Dynasty and Damag decision to leave the series? An e better question would be, is will th be more European teams testing t waters of the golden PSP shores? TonTons started out the season wi two back to back wins in Europe. H ever in the PSP they have not fare as well and moved down to the Ch lengers Division, meaning that the 8 PAINTBALLX
