OKLAHOMA D-DAY, SPECIAL EDITION 2013 It is the only way you can truly grasp the full size of this park and it sure is incredible. Make sure you check them out when you come next year. After the awesome ride it’s off to get ready for the parade. It’s the only game I know of that does one. All of the units gather together with the parks vehicle convoy and the paintball tanks at the front. We all step off together and march our way through vendor village, across the main intersection, under the d-day sign, and up to the grand stand (which is nothing other than a 5 ton military truck with a flat bed trailer!). In a moment of silence we lower the flag to taps and follow it with a blessing by the reverend. We thank our military service members and congratulate the staff, players, and commanders on a job well done for the week and year leading up to it. Capping that off with giving away free gear and a Mohawk contest it’s a great way to end the week and congratulate everyone’s hard work. When all is said and done the day still isn’t over. The thousands of players that have showed run off to load pods, lay out gear, and get chronographed for the big game. For those of us that are commanders we go to our respective camps and HQ’s to get briefed on what’s in store for the next day. Then last but not least, bed time. Time to sleep and dream of victory. See you on the Battle Field! 108 paintbal
